We are excited about things
happening at Mom's Closet!
SERVICE PROJECT - Martin Luther King Day
Beth, Raven and Baylee came to the Center on Martin Luther King Day. They had bags of items for our pantry. Beth explained that Raven needed to do a service project for school, and that she chose MCRC! Raven is a fifth grader at Chancey Elementary school. Raven had to write a report on how it made her feel to serve. I asked if she would share with us, so we could share with you! Thanks Raven
"On Martin Luther King Jr day I chose to help Moms Closet in Middletown. Moms Closet is a resource center for single moms who need supplies, food and financial support. Moms Closet also supports these Moms while they go back to school.
Monday I went to the Dollar Tree to buy things for Moms Closet. I bought paper goods, food, toiletries, and hair supplies for the pantry. The pantry is where the Moms can shop for free. The pantry also has books, toys and baby supplies.
This project made me feel warm, good and sweet. I felt like that because I knew what I was doing was good and the Moms out there would feel good too! It also made me feel like a star! The ladies who worked there were very thankful that I brought those things!" Raven Murphy
